Nelly Barandiaran, founder and designer of Nellik, a new and upcoming high end designer knitwear company who's head office is based in New York City. Born and raised in Peru, Nelly spent much of her early years growing up in her Family's well established knitwear manufacturing company.

Over 13 years ago, Nelly made her way to the US. She took up her first job as a merchandiser for the label A.B.S. At that point Nelly met her former partner Kim. Realizing they both had similar interests and goals they decided to pool together their resources and start the knitwear label "Kim and Kelly" in 1994. At that time knitwear was still relatively under developed in a niche market Nelly wanted to exploit.

As a result, within two years "Kim and Kelly" had sales exceeding 1.5 million dollars with orders at prestigious stores such as Barneys, Henri Bendel's and Bergdorf Goodman. In 1999 Nelly and Kim decided to dissolve their partnership to persue their own individual interests. At that point Nelly began to develop and create her own knitwear label "Nell" along with a men's line, that has now become "Nellik".

As Nellik is evolving into a more global label and developing a strong following around the world, the objective of creating a most exciting, sexy and chic knitwear collection is well on it's way to achieving Nelly's goals.
